Neue Schule bits have been ergonomically designed using the latest technology to produce high performance superior bits for all disciplines and levels of riding.
Neue Schule bits are made with Neue Schule Salox® Gold which is a high copper alloy used for its high thermal conductivity and anti-tarnishing properties; Salox® Gold quickly reaches body temperature and so encourages relaxation and acceptance of the bit. The Turtle Tactio is an anatomy inspired double jointed bit with enhanced mouthpiece stability.
The Turtle Tactio mouth piece offers a flattened dome shaped link that lowers palate pressure and can help prevent the cannons (arms) of the bit from being pushed upwards above the link by the horse's tongue. An ideal bit best suited to those horses with larger or sensitive tongues due to the Turtle Tactio bit encouraging the horse to close their mouth.
The Turtle Top Loose Ring also features a TongueSMART™ Flex technology which innovatively helps reduce pressure points in the horse’s mouth typically caused by hand and rein contact. The bit’s technology distributes the pressure away from a horse’s conventional sensitive areas towards less sensitive areas.
The Turtle Bit has been manufactured to ensure the horse’s mouth is fully comfortable resulting in a nicer contact in the hand, a calmer attitude and easier to handle.
The Flex mouthpiece offers gently curving cannons to form a wide arch over the tongue. This wide arch is held in place by the Turtle Tactio™ meaning it is more securely centered on the tongue and less likely to be pulled through the mouth.
The Flex Loose Ring features a slightly different angled hole meaning the bit sits in the horse's mouth at the optimum angle and does not rotate once a contact is picked up with the reins.
This mouthpiece is ideal for horse's that are over active in the mouth and helps to focus the inattentive mouth to achieve a soft consistent contact.
