Catch Up With The Action in our Bolesworth Round Up
Bolesworth International Horse Show is over for another year and what a year it was. This year Naylors were really excited to get involved by sponsoring the Thursday’s CSI4* 1.45m Show Jumping class. We also had a stand and it was absolutely fantastic to meet all of the spectators while they weren’t watching the action. Read on for our full Bolesworth round up.
Our stand was handily situated near both the castle and lake arenas so we were in the perfect spot to watch plenty of the classes. We were there to give everyone the chance to win a £500 Naylors gift card for free simply to celebrate our sponsorship. The lucky winner, Lucy Fox,was drawn the following week. We want to say a huge congratulations to Lucy, we hope you enjoy spending your prize. If you came along and entered but weren’t lucky, we thoroughly enjoyed chatting to you all. Make sure you keep an eye out for all of our future competitions across our social media pages.
As mentioned, we sponsored the thrilling CSI4* 1.45m jumping in the international arena on Thursday 14th June. The course was a fun challenge and included our yellow and black Naylors upright. It was a well fought competition with some of the biggest names in showjumping aiming for the top spot. There were some very fast times and a whopping 30 clear rounds in the first phase. Things heated up in phase two with Matt Sampson and Django Blue inching top spot by just under one and a half seconds. The line up of the top 6 can be seen below:
- Matthew Sampson & Django Blue
- Chloe Aston & Kolibri Classic
- Ellen Whitaker & Casaktie
- Laura Kraut & Sfs Vincomte
- Julie Andrews & Ayrton IV
- John Whitaker & Cassinis Chaplin
The rest of the week also saw incredible displays of equestrianism and not just in showjumping. Charlotte Dujardin walked away with an impressive 6 class wins across the Wednesday and Thursday. Other highlights included a Puissance win for Shane Breen and the incredibly fun Mini Major show jumping class that sees top name professional show jumpers pair with young up-and-comers for a speedy relay in the main arena. If you think that sounds fun already, add some super hero fancy dress and you’ve got an exciting evening! On the day it was Laura Renwick and 13 year old Scarlett Lomax-Cox who were victorious.
All in all Bolesworth 2018 was a fantastic success and the array of equestrian talent on display was incredible. For a full list of class results for 2018, click here.
