For the dressage regulars amongst us let me introduce our newest arrivals!
Lets Get Dressage Ready!!!
Dressage is all about class and sophistication. Intricate moves executed to look effortless and beautiful.
This level of elegance is channelled into the riders attire. A stunning combination.

From Top to Bottom…
For riders in Introductory – Advanced Medium Tests a short jacket in a dark colour is perfect. Tweed coats are accepted as long as there are no bright colours or loud patterns.
* The red collar and pockets with white piping on a navy jacket like the GP Team may not be used*
For riders in Advanced Tests a tailcoat in conservative colours may be worn.
Here at Naylors we are absolutely loving our newest collection from Anky.
We currently have a few styles in stock but my favourite for dressage has to be the Fancy Show Jacket.
This neat jacket has been made from luxurious fabrics that offer optimal freedom of movement and fit like a second skin. Glitter stitching has been added on the jacket and pockets along with grey trim detailing on the collar.
This stunning jacket is the perfect addition to any dressage attire.
For the more advanced riders amongst us say hello to the Equetech Ladies Jersey Dressage Tail Coat. This elegant and stylish double breasted jersey tail coat is a fabulous addition to any dressage wardrobe. Made from a stretch jersey fabric, the tail coat is comfortable and easy to ride in. What more could you ask for!
Whether your into a fancy laced show shirt or prefer the plain look, here at Naylors we have shirts to suit all.
Take a look at the Anky Fancy Show Shirt and the Shires Short Sleeved Tie Collar Show Shirt. Both simple, sophisticated and perfect for your dressage attire.
The stunning stock is a must. A stock really can make or break your outfit. Here at Naylors we have the plain type, coloured, diamante, ready-tied and untied… everything you may need!
Pair up with a glamorous stock pin for a stunning look. How amazing is this Equetech Bijou Pearl Stock Pin!
White coloured jodhpurs are the most common colour for dressage. Clean, crisp and classy. However cream and beige are also accepted.
As you work your way up the levels you will notice that white becomes the only colour worn.
The Bridleway Ladies Tillington Breeches have always been a definite favourite of mine. The red stretch bottoms adds a bit of colour to the white breeches whilst the stay cool fabric, streamline leg and grippy silicone gel knees made them perfect for competing in.
The British Dressage Rule book 2017 stipulates that gloves must be worn in all competitions.
Just like with the jodhpurs/breeches, white is the most common colour but beige and cream may be worn.
Take a look at the Dublin Adults Diamante Patent Dressage Riding Gloves in White. Made from a synthetic leather, the gloves have a stretch fabric over the knuckles for added flexibility and a non slip grip palm. The gloves have been reinforced so they can be used with either single or double reins. Diamantes have been added for that subtle touch of glam.
When it comes to hair accessories it is all down to personal preference. As long as the competitor looks tidy and professional then hair can be styled as they wish.
The most common way is to style the hair in a low bun and cover with a hair net to ensure a neat appearance. The ShowQuest Crystal Hairbow & Bun Sets are an elegant option to lock away any stray hairs.
Why not use a plain hair net and a colourful scrunchy!
Long riding boots designed for riding in are to be worn. Short riding boots with gaiters of the same leather and colour may also be worn.
Have a browse at all of our mens, womens and childrens riding boots.
The boots pictured above in order are as follows: Ariat Ladies Heritage Contour II Field Zip Riding Boots, Ariat Mens Heritage IV Paddock Boots, Ariat Ladies Bromont PRO Tall Insulated Boots, Ariat Kids Devon III Paddock Riding Boots, Ariat Ladies Vortex Tall Riding Boots.
