At Naylors Equestrian we love the outdoors and exploring the world around us. Whether it’s on horseback on a hack, climbing mountains or on our own two feet, during our free time we’re adventuring!
Last weekend (when the country got a bit of snow) our Marketing Manager, Steph, found her own winter wonderland in the beautiful Macclesfield Forest. She likes to head there every time it snows as she says it’s reminiscent of being in a different country, like Lapland.
Based in Cheshire, on the western edge of the Peak District, getting to the forest is quite easy. It’s around an hour and a half drive from our Rochdale superstore making it a perfect place to head to for a day adventure. Even if it hasn’t snowed, the conifer plantation is still absolutely stunning and attracts lots of people looking to go walking, orienteering, horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, fish and bird watching.
The Trentabank Reservoir, in the forest, is a nature reserve managed by the Cheshire Wildlife Trust so there’s plenty of wildlife to spot whilst you’re exploring – including herons & red deer. There’s also lots of trails you can take through the forest so get out there and start your #NaylorsChristmasAdventure. Click here for a guide.
There’s something for everyone, whether you want a walk or a hack, so get out there and adventure outdoors this Christmas. If you do go on a walk don’t forget to use the hashtag #NaylorsChristmasAdventure – we’d love to see your pictures and you’ll be automatically entered into our draw to win one of two £50 Naylors gift cards!
