The Point Two ProAir is a lightweight, durable air vest which can be used for a variety of equestrian disciplines: from hacking and schooling to eventing and polo.
The Point Two ProAir helps to distribute pressure, absorb shock and support the spinal column in the event of a fall. When inflated, the air bag system offers the collar of the neck and trunk more support, therefore reducing the risk of over bending the spinal column. The Air Jacket offers further support to the collar of the neck, the ribs, the coccyx, the vital organs and even helps to guard against crushing injuries in the event of a rotational fall.
The Air Jacket is inflated by a canister of CO2, stored on the front of the jacket. When the rider separates from the saddle, the canister is activated by the release of a lanyard that is clipped from the jacket onto a saddle attachment. The Air bags will inflate within one tenth of a second - roughly equivalent to a blink of an eye. The ProAir jacket will then hold the rider tight for 15-20 seconds and then slowly deflate over two or three minutes.
The safest way to wear the ProAir jacket is in conjunction with a conventional body protector. The ProAir Jacket can be worn on it's own when riding at home and hunting but must be used in conjunction with a BETA Approved Level 3 body protector when competing in the UK. The Point Two ProAir is fully reusable, and requires servicing annually or after every six falls.
All jackets come ready to use with a bungee lanyard, saddle attachment and one canister.
