Thunderbrook Hay Cobs are a dust free, highly compact, high fibre based forage feed which can be used as a treat or as a full or partial hay replacer.
Hay Cobs contains over 50 varieties of alpine grasses and herbs which are grown to a mature stage to reduce the amount of sugars yet increasing the amount of fibre levels. There is no need to soak and can be fed dry and is suitable for feeding to horses with a sensitive digestive system or those prone to laminitis due to the low sugar and starch content.
There are no preservatives, additives, binders, GMO ingredients, waste by-products and chemical processing or straw and is tested pesticide free.
When feeding dry it is recommended to feed them separately and not as a part of a mash or sprinkled on top of feed to allow your horse to chew them thoroughly. If fed with chaff it is highly recommended to soak the Hay Cobs first to reduce the risk of choke.
Haycobs can be soaked and will take up to 3 hours or be soaked overnight - ensure there are no hard centres left within the mash before feeding.
