The Tempest Plus Sweet-itch Combo Rug is crafted from a tight knit mesh fabric which provides a highly effective barrier against fly irritation to help prevent sweet-itch whilst remaining light and airy, keeping the horse comfortable during the warmer weather. This rug has lots of coverage such as an integrated contour neck, belly flap, and large tail flap to keep the flies and itching as much as possible at bay. The upper fabric on the rug protects against sunburn and sun bleaching.
The Tempest Plus Sweet-itch Combo Rug features 90% UV blocking (the effectiveness of this may diminish over time. Test carried out in accordance to BS EN 13758-1:2002+A1:2006), buckle chest straps, airflow mesh panels, a belly flap for full coverage and an adjustable fillet strap.

This sweet itch rug fits my very wide cob beautifully. She has room to move freely. It doesn’t move or twist. It keeps the midges off where it covers and so she is much more comfy in summer.
