The Baileys Senior Soft & Lite is a unique high fibre blend combining science and nature for health and vitality in older equines.
The Senior Soft & Lite is a specially formulated low-starch, reduced-calorie, high-fiber mix that offers balanced nutrition for older horses and ponies, particularly those that are good-doers or have dental issues. It contains no whole cereal flakes, ensuring low starch (8%) and sugar (3%) levels, making it gentle on the digestive system. This makes it ideal for horses with PPID (Cushing's) or those prone to laminitis, provided they are not overweight.
This tasty blend of fiber sources offers a controlled release of calories, featuring natural Prealpine meadow grasses in the form of flakes of Natural Meadow Cobs, along with highly digestible superfibers. It provides a variety of fiber to satisfy both your horse’s taste and support a healthy gut microbiome, encouraging microbial balance.
As loss of muscle tone and top line is often one of the first signs of aging in horses and ponies, the protein levels are carefully formulated to support muscle maintenance and tissue repair. Senior Soft & Lite is also fully balanced with essential vitamins and minerals to support light activity, and includes micronized linseed and soya oil to promote a glossy coat.
